Mission: Joy — Finding Happiness in Troubled Times

Mission: Joy - Finding Happiness in Troubled Times

Mission: Joy documents five days in 2015 when two Nobel Peace laureates — the 14th Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa — spent time together in Dharamsala, India.

Crossing the boundaries of religion and culture, the film captures their deep friendship and their shared understanding of joy and compassion. It draws on The Book of Joy, which recorded the two spiritual leaders’ conversations about finding joy amid the suffering of life.
