Our Story
Who We Are
The New School for Democracy Association is a non-profit civil-society organization, legally registered in Taiwan in October 2020.
Our purpose: to promote and develop Taiwan's experience and cultural affairs and foster exchange between Taiwanese civil society and the world; and, across Chinese-speaking societies, to spread democratic ideas, cultivate civic capacity, advance democratic reform, and develop democratic culture.
The New School for Democracy is an online platform for democratic ideas. Aiming to unite the democratic forces of China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, we work to build a cross-regional network of civic education so that more people can understand and take part in the democratic process.
